This is absolutely delightful! Perfect Ray-voice, perfect characterizations, perfect story. I love the Ray-isms "statue of limitations," haha, and "don't distract me, you know what I mean," and everything.
And this is quite a brilliant insight:
Fraser’s pretty, this is a well-known and widely-accepted fact. You can see the pretty a mile away. But it’s only at this range you can see the imperfections.
And you've written such an excellent description of a first kiss. Quite possibly the loveliest first kiss I've ever read.
