It sounds awful, but that is how I would *want* things to end for them -- together like that.
Yeah. I could see Wilson going on after House's death, maybe utterly miserable, but still getting up in the morning and going to work. But if Wilson died, House would just...stop. Really, they need to go out Thelma and Louise-style.
Possibly an afterlife as well.
I wrote no less than three ficlets about House and Wilson frolicking about the afterlife while writing this. All the sap I was desperately trying not to put in the story had to go somewhere, I guess.
