1. My dream last night. I was at some kind of water park/aquarium. I'm not sure what I was doing there, but I was possibly a new employee or volunteer because one of the dolphin trainers was taking me around. They had a huge, over-crowded dolphin tank, which made me sad, but the trainer said that they let the dolphins out in the ocean to get exercise. But they only let one out at time, so they wouldn't all run away. And it was this little dolphin's turn today. And that's where the trainer left me, telling me which dolphin's turn is was today. So I scooped him out of the tank -- he was only the size of a Golden Retriever -- and carried him down to the river. Well, it was more of an estuary, really, connecting to the ocean. I was really worried that he wouldn't come back, but they had a device to call him back. It looked a lot like a label maker; you typed in the dolphin's name, and it translated it into Morse code and broadcast it through the water. I can't remember the dolphin's name, but it definitely had an R in it, because I had a hard time with that button. And sure enough, the little dolphin came swimming up. He didn't want to come in though and kept darting away when I tried to grab him. A lot like how my dog does when she wants to continue barking her head off in the back yard. But I managed to grab him, tearing my holiday-themed sweater in the process, and carried him back.

2. A Very Potter Musical. I know this is yesterday's news, but I watched it again recently and got hooked and have been listening to it pretty much non-stop. I sing along. And sometimes dance. It's totally awesome.

3. Briefly forgetting that nothing gives me writer's block like expectations, I signed up for due South Seekrit Santa. So now I've got no idea what to do for my poor recipient-person, but I've got loads of great time-wasting projects. Le sigh.

4. I finished watching Avatar: The Last Airbender on the advice of a RL friend. I gotta say it lived up to the hype. It also gave me my first het ship since Spike/Buffy: both Katara/Aang and Katara/Zuko. Glancing at the fandom, I'd probably have to pick a side. Bleh.

5. I don't really have a fifth point. I didn't really have anything to say after the dream bit, but thought I should fill things out a bit. Oh -- I found my old tablet, which I refused to toss when it crapped out about the same time as my old PC. When I plugged it into my Mac, it works and it only a little persnickety. So I wasted today faffing about on it and produced the following. It's Aang from Avatar, natch.

The transition from paper to tablet is a pain in the ass. It's nice to ctrl+z eleventy billion times, but I like the pull of graphite against paper. Tablets have no soul.

Oh, it's good to read you again :) Your fan art is lovely !
I hate drawing with anything else than a pen, so I can understand your pain ;) The coloring is perfect, too.
